One, to be precise.

There were no big celebrations today, as the party had to be postponed due to the fact that we have two sniffly members of the family, one of which is the boy in question. Spreading sickness around through our social circle doesnt bring us any special kind of thrill, so plan B had to be pulled out and put to practice.

I think we sang all kinds of versions of Happy Birthday To You throughout the day till we got sick of it. Hip, hip, Hoooray!

I decided to whip a quick chocolate cake, so I ran to the store and bought some yummy french cocoa and got the mixer out for some workout. There was no need to wash up afterwords...

Other than the kids themselves.

The birthday boy was completely not concerned with such trivial events and enjoyed a rather quiet day outside and napping while Mr.Blab was catching up on his reading.

After dinner, we blew his proud candle and gave him a small piece of cake to savor.

"What cake, Mama? There is no cake here"

It has been some wild two years for me. Getting to know this little wonderful person has been a big part of it and we have all loved it. Every little bit of it.
